Freeze on Transit/fees, investment in nonprofits approved
Today, City Council passed Mayor Nenshi's proposal to use a one-time surplus to temporarily freeze transit, recreation, and other city service fees. The Community Economic Resiliency Fund also includes
$5 million to support nonprofits hit hard by this current economic downturn.
Council deferred committing an additional $14.4 million to affordable housing initiatives to the coming Priorities and Finance Committee Meeting where the allocation of funds could be discussed in more detail.
